Stephen Armstrong creative director and programmer of the inaugural Asia TOPA: Asia-Pacific Triennial of Performing Arts introduces the Sunday Arts Magazine team to the highlights of an ambitious cultural festival dedicated to art and performance drawn from 17 countries in the Asia Pacific region.
This year’s festival features a program even bigger than the 2017 iteration with more than 280 events spread over Melbourne and the regional hubs of Bendigo, Geelong and Castlemaine
A select element of the festival includes Subsonic with an expansive program featuring sound art, experimental music, installation large scale stage shows, and an array of music, dance, theatre, film and visual art.
