Judith Ryan AM Senior Curator of Indigenous Art NGV

NGV’s Senior Curator of Indigenous Art, Judith Ryan AM chats about the video series and Marking Time: Indigenous Art from the NGV.

 

Marking Time is an NGV Collection exhibition about the expansion of Indigenous signs and symbols from rock faces to acrylic paint on board and contemporary interpretations including neon signs and video works.

 

The tour features work by Footscray artist Reko Rennie, Paddy Compass Namadbara and senior Warlpiri women of Lajamanu in the Northern Territory.
