An engaging Sunday Arts Magazine when Moira Finucane and Sophie Koh join David and Neil in the studio to discuss the current cabaret show, “House of the Heart”.
MOIRA FINUCANE
Raised in Western Australia, return guest Moira Ficucane as an award-winning Australian actor, artist, writer, director and burlesque performer. Before acting, Moira worked as an environmental scientist, having specialized in wetland rehabilitation and environmental law. She also worked in human rights advocacy for ten years, then toured the world in 2004.
She is now performing in the production of “House of the Heart” at the Chinese Museum.
SOPHIE KOH
Multi-award-winning Sophie Koh is a pop star, singer and songwriter.
She began writing songs whilst still in New Zealand. When she moved to Australia she got her Licentiate in Music Australia(LMusA) at age sixteen, then majored in classical piano at the Melbourne Conservatory of Music. She won Triple J’s “Unearthed contest whilst in Darwin. Sophie often attended open-mic nights. She also became a successful pop star having launched several albums. On meeting Moira she started doing cabaret work. She is also now performing in “House of the Heart”.
“House of the Heart”, is now playing in China Town, Melbourne, at the Chinese Museum’s Dragon Gallery as part of Chinese Lunar New Year. Surrounded by processional dragons, thirteen actors, “House of the Heart” runs until 10th March.
