On today’s show Brendan reviews It Follows which is causing a lot of chat for a horror film as well as Antarctica: A year on ice, a documentary 10 years in the making which is part of ACMI’s Exhibition Poles Apart (15 April to 16 May).
David gives an overview of Dark Mofo 2015, a festival in Hobart (Jun 12 to 22) which ‘combines ancient traditions with current artforms to celebrate the dark through art, food, film, music, light and noise.’

Felix Preval, producer of the Melbourne Fringe Festival (16 September to 4 October) tell us what the Fringe is all about, his role there, the focus on local artists, unusual venues, awards, artist development, forums and participation. Registrations are now open (up till 22 May) for artists wanting to present work at the Fringe. Volunteers are also very welcome.
Guy Abrahams, CEO of Art+Climate=Change 2015 talks about his background starting as a lawyer for artists, then running his mother’s gallery and then going back to Uni and focusing on climate change and meeting inspirational, committed people leading him to what he does now: bringing the arts together with scientists and others to inspire action on climate change. The Art+Climate=Change 2015 festival is on from 11 April to 17 May and features exhibitions, lectures and forums.
