Louise Paramor, Artist/Sculptor

Louise Paramor is well known for her large-scale public art commissions, which often combine formal concerns with a pop-inspired sensibility. In 2010 Louise received the McClelland Award for her sculpture Top Shelf. In 2012 she realised the monumental public sculpture Panorama Stationi for the EastLink/ Peninsula Link freeway sculpture commission.

The NGV has invited her to take over a dedicated space of The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia with a specially commissioned installation, Palace of the Republic, involving a multitude of new paper sculptures that references her earlier artistic practice in conjunction with a survey of her recent colourful plastic assemblages.
