Linden New Art celebrates 30 years of the
iconic Linden Postcard ShowCall for entries: 14 July – 25 August 2020
First held in 1990, Linden New Art’s iconic Linden Postcard Show continues to provide artists from all walks of life the opportunity to present their artwork inside the gallery’s striking Victorian-era building nestled in the heart of St Kilda. The call for entries opens to the public on 14 July, with a deadline of 25 August. The exhibition is scheduled to run from 24 October 2020 to 31 January 2021.
The gallery has big plans to celebrate its 30th birthday milestone as it looks back on the exhibition’s vibrant history. This year’s show will include a special selection of artworks by an illustrious group of Linden Postcard Show alumni, which includes the likes of John Campbell, Abdul Abdullah, Penny Byrne and many more.
The much-loved exhibition is open-entry and attracts artists from across Australia, showcasing thousands of small artworks from a diverse range of artists, from emerging to established.
Since 1990, art-lovers and art collectors alike have also been able to buy a mini-masterpiece from the show and support a living artist.
“This is such a special milestone for Linden,” says Linden New Art Director, Melinda Martin.
