The work is a culmination of two years of research and practice-based study and is realised in ten large-scale framed prints, a 32-page broadsheet newspaper displaying 22 images, and a digital billboard display adjacent to the gallery.
Utopia is a photographic investigation and reinterpretation of the banal, inconspicuous spaces and places within contemporary western cities, the public spaces that we regularly move through, that are neither a destination nor a place to dwell or reside.
