Sunday Arts Magazine: Donna Jackson

Director of “The Love Booth”, Donna Jackson, is today’s special guest on a brilliant episode of Sunday Arts Magazine.

Donna started out as a Refuge worker in Williamstown, then became involved with the Community Theatre Company, based in Moonee Ponds. She emphasized social change through theatre and performance. She continued doing community work, based at the Footscray Community Arts Centre. In 1991 she started Womens’ Circus through Footscray Arts Centre support, and has worked in the Western suburbs ever since.

“The Love Booth”, a play directed by Donna, is a musical story portraying queer adventures and love. “The invisible history of our LGBTQIA+ locals comes out from behind the curtain to dance in the spotlight” -Donna Jackson.

“The Love Booth” is currently staging as a Cabaret at the Williamstown Hall, finishing 9th March.
