Phillip Lee Curtis visited The Cabaret Room and talked about his show Ego Jacket, currently playing in Melbourne as part of the Midsumma Festival. The title comes from a quote by Michael Hutchence who said he’d put on the ‘ego jacket’ whenever he went on stage. At times, we all put on a brave face – it could be makeup, drag or a persona – to cover up how we truly feel on the inside. What happens when Philllip’s jacket gets torn off and he has to deal with what’s on the inside?
