New group for intellectually disabled LGBTI people; stalking in the queer community

The Informer speaks with Dr Lorraine Sheridan, who is compiling information for a study on stalking in Australia.

It follows recent research she conducted which found that members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, and intersex communities are more likely to be stalked than their heterosexual counterparts.

Peter Spyker, organiser of a new social support group for LGBTI people with an intellectual disability in Melbourne, also joins The Informer to chat about the unique challenges members of this community face.

If you’re interested in joining the new group in Melbourne, you can email Peter at: PSpyker@cbchs.org.au
