Living with transphobia daily, Aurora Group Small Grants & Australias report card on HIV & STI’s : 6th November 2017

On this episode of The Informer on JOY 94.9 you’ll hear from the Chair of The Aurora Group Alison King, who raises funds to disburse to gay, lesbian and transgender community organisations. You can find out more about how to apply for their Small Grants here.

As well as hear from Associate Professor Martin Holt co convener of the Australasian HIV and AIDS Conference which started this morning in Canberra. Ian Muchamore talks to him  about the early signs that HIV infections are dropping, the role PREP plays in all of this.

And, after last night’s episode of 60 minutes with a story focusing on Hannah Mounsey, the social media of the show denounced the validity of transgender people.

Tonight we turn the tables in the studio and look at the lived affect this kind of transphobia has every single day of people’s lives with Lara Dickinson.

Dean and Lara host this episode of The Informer
