Building community cohesion & moving beyond grief with Shoshana Rosenberg

Shoshana Rosenberg is a transfeminine queer academic and musician and sheds some light on building community cohesion and moving beyond grief.

Transgender Day of Remembrance was established in 1999 by Gwendolyn Anne Smith, following the murder of a fellow transwoman, Rita Hester.

It’s a day to remember all of the people we lost throughout the year because of acts of transphobic violence, to grieve as a community, and to strengthen our community bonds.

This segment aired on The Informer on JOY 94.9 on 20th November 2017.
