First Nations celebrates 30 years of inclusion in SGLMD Parade

Dykes on Bikes Sydney are not the only part of our community celebrating a 30 year anniversary during the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, with the first nations float celebrating this year’s parade by rebooting the theme from their original float, revolution, for this year’s parade.

Daniel spoke to John Lea from the first nations floats about what this milestone meant as we look back on Indigenous peoples participation in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

This segment aired on The Informer on JOY 94.9 on 1st March 2018.
