Dusty ol’ Blue Grass

Gillian hosts an amazing double act this week. First Melbourne blue grass band the Stetson Family celebrating their 10th anniversary and making it on to America’s Roots Music Report, Top Americana Country Chart two years in a row. They talk about blind dating a new bass player, the origins of blue grass and play live tracks including Fool’s Gold and Hey Sister Mary, Where’d You Get That Gun. Then Gillian is joined by Wendy Stapleton star of the Dusty Show who discusses singing and dancing since the age of 9, developing muscle memory in her vocal chords, doing a Dusty show at 3 am at the Sydney Mardi Gras and we hear her favourite Dusty tracks, including Son of a Preacher Man and I 0nly Want to Be with You.
