Gillian’s guest this week is hospitality legend Stuart McKenzie of South of Johnston Cafe (aka SOJO), co-owner of Hartslane Accommodation and author of  All Day Cafe – cafe style food to make at home (Murdoch Books, 2017).  Stuart talks with Gillian about growing up in Melbourne; working in clubs like the Metro and partying the night away; becoming a business owner; his 20 year relationship with partner Simon Carver; monthly Peace Meals at SOJOs (an open invitation to share food with people from a refugee background) and how his life is now more balanced – but just as enjoyable.
