Victoria Police’s Superintendent Sue Thomas joins us to talk about the commencement of the Victorian government’s provisional payments pilot which will cover the cost of crucial mental health treatment for its employees, including police and other emergency workers.
Living with mental health issues should not be seen as an inevitable outcome of policing and people can recover from it if they receive the appropriate level of support.
Plus Tom and Mikey discuss how they plan to prepare, or not, for their visit next week to the Police Academy to undertake the physical fitness test that police recruits have to pass.
