A Little Sensitivity by Lavine Hudson. Request.

Anyway the Wind Blows by Lynn White. Request.

*I need your body by Tina Arena. Request.

Aussies – 1984

*Original Sin by INXS. From their 1984 album, The Swing. It peaked at no. 1 here in Australia.

*I want you back by Hoodoo Gurus:  1984 from Sydney band and 2007 ARIA inductees.

*Good die young by The Divinyls. 1984 single that also appeared on their second studio album, What a Life!, which didn’t come out till July 1985 due to a 2 year process of writing and recording.

*Why Tell Me by Angie Pepper Band. B-side to their debut single Frozen World, released in 1984. Short-lived Sydney-based punk band that included not only Angie but her husband Deniz Tek of Radio Birdman, Ivor Hay from The Saints and Clyde Bramley of Hoodoo Gurus.

*The Finer Things by Beargarden. Their debut single from 1984. Melbourne new wave band that got lots of support from musicians, including INXS, Divinyls, Echo and the Bunnymen, but failed to win an audience for themselves.

*Walking in the Dark by Deckchairs Overboard.  Single from Jun 1984. Re – issued Nov 1985. It was also included on their self-titled debut album from 1985. 2 band members went on to work on the tv show Sweet & Sour, voicing band members as Deborah Conway did for the lead.

Because of Love by Janet Jackson. Request.

Take it From Me by Platinum Blonde. 1985 single from Standing in the Dark, their first full length album. It was the last single from that album and the only one that didn’t chart, even in their Canadian homeland.

Sex Farm by Spinal Tap. Request.

Lucretia, My Refletion by The Sisters of Mercy. A 1988 single from their 1987 album, Floodland, their 2nd studio release. I’m sure I’ve played them at some point in the past 5+ years but I have no memory of it…they are from Leeds in the UK and started life as an underground band. They currently continue to tour but haven’t recorded anything since the 1990s due to a dispute with their record company.

You were So Young by The Cigarettes. From 1979. English band active from 1978-81 and included Rob Smith (vocals, guitar), Stave Taylor (vocals, bass), Adam Palmer (drums). This track came out on a compilation produced in 2002 from music recorded during their heyday.

Divine Emotions by Narada Michael Walden. After producing acts like Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston in the mid-1980s, Walden released “Divine Emotions,” in 1988. It was a Top Ten hit in the UK and a number 1 dance chart hit in the US.

Bang a Gong (Get It On) – The Power Station. 1985 from their self-titled debut album.
