*Bury me Deep in Love by The Triffids. Formed in Perth in May 1978 with David McComb as singer-songwriter, guitarist, bass guitarist and keyboardist. They achieved negligible success in Australia, but greater success in the U.K. and Scandinavia in the 1980s, till they disbanded in 1989. This is from their 4th album, Calenture, in 1987.
*Koori Woman by Tiddas. From their 1991 EP, Inside my Kitchen. Featuring lesbian artist Lou Bennett.
*I love how you Love Me by Teen Queens. 1992 release from this Australian girl group made up of singer/actresses Kellie Hoggart, Liza Witt, and Roxanne Clark. Their album Get Happy! was released in November 1992 and charted at #36. They broke up in 1993.
*I wanna Be a Celebrity by The Thought Criminals. Sydney punk band active till 1981.
*I’m Interested in Apathy by TISM. (an acronym of This Is Serious Mum) From their 1988 album Great Truckin’ Songs of the Renaissance, their second.
*Space Friends by Tumbleweed. B-side to their 1991 debut single, Captain’s Log.
Living in America by James Brown. Request. Written by Dan Hartman for Rocky IV, gay artist who also recorded the track himself in 1994.
Aquarius by Ren Woods. Request. From the 1979 film soundtrack to Hair.
The Boys Are back in Town by Thin Lizzy. Irish band from Dublin formed in 1969 around Phil Lynott, Brian Downey, Eric Bell and Eric Wrixon. This track came out in 1976 on their album Jailbreak. It was honoured with the 499th position among Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Hymn to Her by The Pretenders. 1986 song recorded by The Pretenders for Get Close, their 4th studio album.
Moskow Diskow by Telex. From their 1979 album, Looking for San Tropez. They were Belgian.
Karma Chameleon by Culture Club. 1983 single from Colour by Numbers, helping bolster my LGBTIQ content with Boy George fronting this band when he wasn’t fully out but obviously was a gay man fronting a band.
