Dance with the Dragon by Jefferston Starship. Paul Kantner died this week – he’d been with Jefferson Airplane and stuck with them till the early 80s, when they became Starship after he sued them over the Jefferson part of the name. This is from 1976, Spitfire.

+Daughters of the Kaos by Lucious Jackson. Featuring lesbian drummer Kate Schellenbach, who is also Josephine Wiggs’ partner. This is from their 1992 debut, In Search of Manny.

+Bull in the Heather by Ladies Who Lunch. A brief experiment by partners Wiggs & Schellenbach. They put out a couple of Eps; this is from the first, Kims We Love, from 1995.

+Leeches by Juned. A Seattle grunge band from the early 90s that’s half lesbian. This is from their debut self-titled album from 1994.

+What’s the Use of Trying by The Perfect Disaster. Featuring multi-instrumentalist and lesbian Josephine Wiggs. It’s from Asylum Road, their second album.

If Wishes were Horses by Sweeney Todd. Title track from their second album, released in 1978…Canadian band featuring a 17 year Bryan Adams as their temporary singer! Who knew??

Drift Away by Mud. English glam rock band active from the year I was born till the year I graduated from high school…1967-85…for those of you who haven’t been paying attention. This is a 1978 single.

Rockin’ in the Free World by Bon Jovi. 1995 live recording from Brazil of their cover of Neil Young’s classic.

Aussies – more great stuff from Andy Mac – much of it new to me.

*Who by Joe Creighton. From his 1992 album, Holywell. He’s been in The Black Sorrows, played bass for John Farnham, and toured with both Kylie and Olivia Newton-John. Born in Belfast.

*Land of Fortune by Stars. Australian country from Adelaide. This is the title track from their second album, released in 1979.

*Going Home by David Bridie. This is from a collection of Australian artists performing Australian songs put out by the ABC back in 1993.

*Sex, Drugs (If you do it, do it safe) by PRICS. That is, Performers Releasing Information about Clean Syringes/Careful Sex. Australian release from 1994 featuring the aforementioned David Bridie, Rob Craw, Tanya Lee Davies, and a bunch of others. It was released by TripleJ.

*Slave by The Badloves. From their 1995 album, Holy Roadside. They were Michael Spiby and Jak Housden.

*He Can’t Decide by Paul Kelly, Vika Bull, Renee Geyer and Deborah Conway. Yikes, what a who’s who in Australian music! It’s from an album of music from the ABC tv series, Seven Deadly Sins back in 1993.

Gonna Be Some Changes Made by Lynn White. Request. From her 1985 album, Slow and Easy.

Make it Last Forever by Keith Sweat. Request. 1987

Hey Hey My My by Neil Young. 1988 track from This Note’s For You, his 17th album.

Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot. 1976 classic rock hit commemorating the 1975 sinking of the ship. One more Canadian…I need a reason to do a theme show.
