*Physical by Olivia Newton-John. The most popular single of her career in the U.S., as well as her final number-one (to date). Billboard ranked it as the number one pop single of 1982 and it was also the most successful song on the Hot 100 during the entire decade of the 1980s. The famous guitar solo is performed by Toto’s guitarist Steve Lukather.

*Short Memory by Midnight Oil. From 10, 9, 8, … Their fourth studio album. It was released in 1982.

*Body & Soul by Jo Kennedy. Her only single release, from 1982, written by Tim Finn. Better known as an actress from a couple of cult films, Starstruck from 1982 and Wrong World from 1985. And we share a birthday…though she’s 5 years older.

*Take the A Train by The Daly Wilson Big Band. (quiet) This Duke Ellington cover is from 1982. Daly is Warren and Wilson is Ed Wilson..horn player.

*Blind lead the Blind by Pel Mel. They formed in Newcastle in mid 1979 and moved to Sydney, Australia in late 1980. They toured and recorded until 1984. Pel Mel’s early lineup included Graeme Dunne (guitar & vocals), Judy McGee (sax), Jane McGee (guitar), Glenn Hill (bass), Dave Weston (drums) and Nigel Savage (sax). This was a 1982 single.
