Disco Inferno by The Trammps. 1976 song by The Trammps from the album of the same name. It was a bit of a failure till it appeared again on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, which made it a huge hit. It was inspired by a scene in the 1974 blockbuster film The Towering Inferno in which a discotheque is caught in the blaze.

Zoolook by Jean Michel Jarre. Title track to his 1984 album. French composer, performer and music producer. He is a pioneer in the electronic, ambient and New Age genres, and known as an organiser of outdoor spectacles of his music featuring lights, laser displays, and fireworks.

Behind the Fool by DelAmitri. First track on Change Everything, their third album, released in 1992.

Faces by Clio. 1985 single from this Italo Disco singer, whose real name is Maria Chiara Perugini. It was her second single, the first one more specific…Eyes. Oddly, she didn’t move on to Torso.

Goody Two shoes by Adam Ant. 1982 debut single from his first solo album Friend or Foe.

Over the Sky by Alyne. 1985 Italo disco, her second and final release according to Discogs.

Aussies 1989

*Chained to the Wheel by The Black Sorrows. One of many Joe Camilleri bands from the erea, active from 1983 through today. This was one of their best known tunes, released in Feb 1989 and from what I can tell, not included on any of their studio albums.

*Make Me Smile (Come up and see me) by Nick Barker and the Reptiles. They formed in March 1988 and hit the Aussie charts with this Cockney Rebel cover in Nov 1989.

*Compulsory Hero by 1927. 1989 single that won the Aria for best video in 1990.

*Way of the World by Max Q. Collaboration between Michael Hutchence and Ollie Olsen.

*Baby You’re Wild by Mental As Anything. 1989 release from Cyclone Raymond, their 7^th studio album.

*She has to be Loved by Jenny Morris. From the 1989 album Shiver, her second solo album. Single did really well that year as well, finishing in Australian top 50.

Calling All Boys by The Flirts: from the 1982 follow up to their hit album 10 cents a Dance.

Open Your Heart by Madonna. Request.

All Hung Up by Angela Capelli. 1985 single that she actually released just under the name Angela. Most of her work, though, was released including the surname – including her contribution to the Beaches soundtrack. She also sings back up on several Foreigner tunes.

Waiting for a Girl Like You by Foreigner. Second single from their 1981 album 4, their 4^th. The distinctive synthesizer theme was performed by the then-unknown Thomas Dolby.
