Bi-sexual Pride!
HAPPY BI-VISBILITY WEEK!
Did you know that according to the PEW Research Centre that:
- 40% of LGBTQIA people identity as bisexual but only 28% of bisexuals tell anyone else that they are bi.
- 60% of bisexuals say they don’t feel connected to the LGBT community
A recent study from La Trobe University also found out that “Bisexual and pansexual people are frequently subjected to discrimination and a lack of social acceptance – even within the queer community.” In this episode we explore what it means to be bisexual, how bi-stigma is impacting young queer people and how we can better support young bisexual people.
Thanks to Claire and Ruby for sharing their stories, views and opinions!
