This week we discussed what it means to be Queer and a Person of Colour.
Being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community can come with it’s own set of challenges. But what happens when you are a part of two intersecting minorities? Are queer spaces still safe space? Is racism an issue?
We met with two young individuals who are both queer and people of colour, Ngaire (25) and Caroline (25).
Thanks so much to both of them for sharing their stories and thoughts!
I’m off to NYC next week to make a doco on queer identity! Taking over the show will be the rest of the Unicorn Youth team: Jordan, Tom and Charlie.
