Miss Ellaneous is joined by charming playwright and actor Ian Michael.
A gay Noongar man from our country’s west, Ian set up camp on Kulin country to soak up the buzz and brilliance of Melbourne’s second-to-none Aboriginal arts scene – and to contribute no less!
His time in town has seen him develop his first play HART – a one-man show exploring the pain, suffering and healing of the Stolen Generations experience, with a particular focus on stories from his countrymen from the west.
Ian presented a season of HART at Melbourne’s famed La Mama Theatre as part of Fringe 2016; and he joins us on this podcast to yarn about his inspiration, writing & research processes, and his general enthusiastic interest in the arts.
