The new Prejudice Motivated Crime Strategy has been developed and launched by Victoria Police and today we explore what this means, how the Anti-Violence Project (AVP) and other gay and lesbian community groups participated in its development and where to now. A second launch on country roads safety is also discussed. Then we explore the AVP and its program work areas, online violence reporting, the “About Face” campaign and a soon to be launched program connecting rural and regional cities and towns with the AVP, called “AVP Connect” – plus VicPolice News and Crimestoppers.
