Writing Themselves In 4

Join Tex & Jessie on Well Well Well today as they chat to Dr. Adam Bourne, Associate Professor at ARCSHS (Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health & Society) and visiting fellow at the Kirby Institute at UNSW to discuss the results of the Writing Themselves In 4 Study that took place in 2020.

The study gathers data around the challenges experienced by LGBTIQA+ young people (such as mental health, discrimination or abuse) as well as aspects of life that can enhance health and wellbeing (such as supportive relationships and community engagement).

The study managed to recruit 6418 participants aged 14 – 21 years old, making it the largest cohort involved a study of the LGBTI community.
