National Volunteers Week

It’s National Volunteers Week!

Michael and Tex sit down with some vital volunteers and coordinators to look at how our LGBTIQA+ communities give back. There are around 2.3 million volunteers across Victoria, with no shortage of avenues to explore. So why would somone volunteer with Thorne Harbour Health? We chat with Partnerships Manager, Jack, about the history of the organisation from it’s early days of volunteer leadership and support. We chat with Anne, filling a vital aspect of volunteer work transporting people to and from appointments, and forging connections with some wonderful knock on benefits for Anne, and her family. Later we are joiend by Dominique Haslam, Volunteer Coordinator at the soon to be opened Victorian Pride Centre about the needs of this new facility for our community.
