A Painting Anthology In Print – Ross Watson

Our guest today has come a long way since growing up in Brisbane. After graduating from the Queensland College of the Arts, it was an invitation to exhibit his first solo show – in St Kilda’s Ackland Street Gallery, that led to a full time career as an artist in Melbourne….that was back in 1984.
An international leader in contemporary realism, his paintings have been included in collections from Switzerland, The UK, The USA, and countless collections here in Australia
He paints subjects from footballers to pop stars, porn stars to High Court Judges, and his works hang in The National Gallery of Victoria and The National Gallery Of Australia
His works are sort after by celebrities throughout the world and his commissioned pieces are commanding higher prices than ever before.
And his art is now the subject of a stunning new book by German publishing house Bruno Gmunder.
Simply titled – Untitled# Ross Watson – the book superbly illustrates the illustrious career of one of Australia’s finest artists.
