OzChild and Foster Carers From The GLBTIQ Community

Arts, Health, News & Politics, Society & Culture

Unfortunately, due to a range of circumstances and environments some children are at risk of significant harm from abuse and neglect within their family home. Thankfully there are systems in place to support families and in particular children who are at significant risk.
OzChild is a not for profit organization here in Melbourne who work with some of the most psychologically damaged children in our society, children with disabilities, children with learning and language difficulties as well as children with mental health issues. One vital support system of OzChild is the Foster care Program.
Joining us Word for Word today is the recruitment officer from OzChild Glenda Quinn.

And to share their personal story of fostering are Sue and Sheila.
