Who in their right mind would start a new political party?

Today’s guest has done just that and plans to be a serious contender for a Senate seat in the 2016 Federal Election.

The Australian Equality Party has managed to get enough members to register as a political party and form a 35 page policy manifesto in record time.

In consultation with LGBTI community leaders and individuals, the Party’s core beliefs of equality, fairness and human rights have shaped all of its policies and the document has already created waves within the major political parties at both a federal and state level.

Dean speaks with the founder and visionary leader of the Australian Equality Party, Jason Tuazon-McCheyne – a gentle man of integrity who’s own challenges have shaped his authentic desire to be the much needed LGBTI voice in federal parliament.
