We Need Sperm – Monash IVF

logo-monash-ivf1A good day at the office for Dr Gareth Weston must be one of the most rewarding of any jobs – bringing a child into this world for people who otherwise would not be able to have children.

Australia pioneered much of the successes of the IVF process, however, IVF is not an exact science. With so many variables, even if all goes well in the laboratory, much can go wrong in the womb. Often people engaging in IVF have multiple attempts before a successful birth.

But regardless of scientific breakthroughs, no birth occurs without two things – an egg and sperm. It’s the latter essential element that Monash IVF is in desperate need of. Same-sex couples have placed greater demands on this limited resource and there is a shortage of sperm in the sperm bank.

If you are a man between 25 and 45yo you can help bring life into this world and happiness to those who otherwise may be unable to have children. It is hard to think of any gift greater than that.  Click here to find out how easy it is.

Lauren and Stacey are a young lesbian couple who have tried to fall pregnant through IVF a number of times. Now just months before the birth of their son, they join us to share their story and joy. They are currently undergoing treatment at Monash IVF and are also producing a documentary of their journey, to help other couples in the future.
