Destroying our Safe Schools

It was hailed as ‘best practice’ and offered hope to the thousands of students and LGBTI adults who experienced bullying and discrimination when at school.

The roll out of the safe schools program was to provide an equal playing field for all students, potentially creating transformational change across all of society.

On Word For Word we speak to Chris Bush, one of the architects of the program the government recently scrutinized, and Jacqui Tomlins, a former teacher, mother and co-founder of the Australian Equality Party.
