Circus Oz Artistic Director – Mike Finch takes one last bow.

Circus OZ Mike Finch

Circus Oz is soon to erect it’s Big Top in Melbourne again.  Our globally adored circus was established in 1978 and for the last 17 years, Mike Finch has been the proverbial Ring Master of this ramshackle bunch of talented freaks.

Simply saying “Circus Oz” is enough to evoke a heartfelt smile from young and old alike. Credited with revitalizing a traditional art form in a uniquely Australian way, Mike Finch transformed Circus Oz into the rock ‘n roll, animal-free extravaganza of death-defying acrobatics, side-splitting satire, breathtaking performance and technical excellence that we love today.

Having toured over 100 cities and regions throughout 27 countries, Circus Oz has fans worldwide, yet it has remained true to its core values of diversity, tolerance, human kindness and a fun time for all.

Just prior to the 2015 Melbourne Season which opens on 17th June under the famous Big Top, Circus Oz’s Artistic Director Mike Finch joins Dean to reminisce before his last show on the 12 of July.

Dean captured this picture of the Circus Oz ensemble during the media call for the 6th World Circus Day, celebrated on Saturday 18th April 2015.
