As Australia’s only Gay & Lesbian radio station JOY 94.9 prepares to cross live to 20th International AIDS Conference AIDS 2014, we are joined in the studio by international HIV agitator, AIDS activist and award winning columnist Mark S. King.

His blog “My Fabulous Disease” provides up-to-date commentary on the global HIV response.  Diagnosed HIV positive in 1985, Mark’s openness about his battle with Crystal Meth use and frankness about the sex gay men have continues to challenge many.  At a time when Victoria has just reported a 300% increase in gay men who inject drugs becoming HIV positive, Mark’s insights need to be heard.

His essay in HIV stigma titled “The Sound of Stigma” is essential reading.  Mark S. King is in Australia and attending AIDS 2014 thanks to thebody.com and posting video blogs of the conference.
