As part of the WORLD AIDS DAY special on JOY 94.9, World Wide Wave focused on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention efforts around the globe:

Dean Beck interviewed Ross Hutton from the Oil Search Health Foundation in Papua New Guinea.

Shannon Power spoke with Michel Sidibay, the AIDS Executive Director of the United Nations.

We also listened to Aung San Suu Kyi – the United Nation’s AIDS Global Advocate for Zero Discrimination–deliver her keynote address for World AIDS Day at Government House in Melbourne.
