How would you survive being thrown in gaol just for being gay? Coming to Australia after such an experience would surely be liberating and open up a whole new world of freedoms – or does it? And what are the challenges of being gay and Arab in our home town of Melbourne?

To answer these questions we spoke with Tim and Ben from Helem – Melbourne’s Arab and Gay Group.
