GLOBAL ATTITUDES TO LGBT PEOPLE (PART 2): SURPRISING RELIGIOUS ACCEPTANCE

News & Politics, Worldwide

In part 1 of this topics, we began exploring the latest survey from ILGA – the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association.  It is perhaps the largest survey in the world of attitudes towards sexual orientation and gender identity.  For such a large report, we couldn’t possibly fit all the insights into one show so now we delve further.

  • What is the impact on attitudes of criminalisation of homosexuality?
  • How do the attitudes of young people differ from those of older generations?
  • And we have the data to prove who is better – Australia or New Zealand?

To interrogate the data and turn it into meaningful insights, we were again joined by Aengus Carroll, co-author of theILGA-RIWI Global Attitudes Survey on Sexual, Gender and Sex Minorities  (www.ilga.org).
