GLOBAL: TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ACTIVISTS

News & Politics, Worldwide

It is true to say that change often doesn’t come easily.  It usually takes a brave person to stick their head above the crowd – to stand up and stand out.   In today’s social media age, human rights campaigning can be done from the comfort of your own lounge and computer.  But is that enough to make real change on the world stage?

  • How does the United Nations assess and take forward change for women?
  • Where do Lesbian, Bisexual, and Trans women fit in their deliberations?
  • How do you ‘learn’ to be a human rights activist?

Opening our eyes to the challenges and opportunities of today’s fight for human rights, tonight we are joined by Former World Wide Wave presenter and human rights activist, Kristine Tay.

Broadcast: May 22, 2018
