LGBTI Travel: The Currency and Ethics of Pink Travel

If you’re planning your next holiday, how much does your sexual orientation play in your decisions. Do you deliberately or unknowingly skip countries that are not LGBTI friendly? Do you gravitate to places with vibrant, accepting LGBTI events? The pink travel market is big business – but is it ethical?

Hong Kong-based Australian, Bess Hepworth, founded the global advocacy group Planet Ally  with other queer women. They are hosting a conference to unpack the issues of LGBTI travel – for those working in the industry and what impact we have as world travellers.
