It’s hard to believe that it is just over three months since President Donald Trump left office – and the world breathed a collective sigh of relief. His rollercoaster presidency was sometimes frustrating, other times entertaining – but always unpredictable. Some groups however we singled out for an ongoing attack right throughout President Trump’s four year term. One such group was the USA’s Trans community.

Tony Zosherafatain began directing and producing films in 2012 after realizing that there weren’t many films focussed on Trans stories. As a Trans man, he knew what challenges invisibility brings. His latest documentary project – a series called Trans in Trumpland – took him into the US states with the worst transphobia under President Donald Trump, to try and find out what was driving this hate.
