Italy: The controversial life and death of Pier Paolo Pasolini

The Italian Film Festival has kicked off in Melbourne and this year hosts a solid selection of queer content. Among the list is a film about a highly controversial and openly gay journalist, filmmaker and artist who was murdered in 1975.

His name is Pier Paolo Pasolini.
