Antarctica: new frontiers for women and science

It has lots of animals we know and love. It has a total population of just 5,000 people at any one time in an area twice the size of Australia.  It has an average winter temperature of minus 63 degrees Celsius.  We’re off to Antarctica!

  • What is involved in preparing for such an out-of-the-ordinary experience?
  • What are the dangers this unique environment brings?

Originally broadcast on April 11th, 2017.
