PAKISTAN: MIGRATION AND FINDING YOUR QUEER PLACE IN THE WORLD

Asia/Pacific, News & Politics

Immigration is a hot topic around the world at the moment.  Canada has been one of the countries held up as a progressive and accepting beacon in a changing world.  But is that perception a reality.  For one man originally from Pakistan, the migration process brought pain and journey of self-acceptance.

Looking at the LGBTI world through the lens of films at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, we were joined by Arshad Khan, Director of the documentary Abu – one of the fantastic films at the 2018 Melbourne Queer Film Festival (www.mqff.com.au), Australia’s longest running and largest queer film festival.

Broadcast: March 6, 2018
