Action Packed

Music

Hi Listeners

This week’s program is going to be Action Packed. Or, in other words, packed with songs about all kinds of physical actions. The range of physical actions portrayed in songs is very broad as you can see by the Playlist below. The list of songs includes a song about Kung Fu (Kung Fu Fighting) and sailing from Rod Stewart (Sailing) to dancing (Dance Little Lady Dance) and from our own Delltones a surfing song (Hangin’ Five). More unusual actions are captured in Teresa Brewer’s popular fifties hit ‘Hula Hoop Song’ and the poignant melody of a song about horse racing ‘Run For The Roses’ by that wonderful, warm voice of Dan Fogelberg.

The theme from the famous film about running is here with the recognizable instrumental ‘Chariots Of Fire’ by Vangelis and of course our list wouldn’t be complete without a song about football (One Day In September) by Mike Brady. Summing it all up is the very popular hit by our own Livvy (Let’s Get Physical) and to show that even groups can have action packed names we include a rare track from a Melbourne group Running Jumping Standing Still (Diddy Wah Diddy).

So if you feel inclined shift the furniture and ‘get physical’ with us on Sunday.
