Hi Listeners

After our extended vacations Mossy and I are back! We are looking forward to presenting you with an amazing array of new programs for 2017. What better way to start the new year with a program full of Aussie talent. The program starts with John Farnham’s excellent single ‘Pressure Down’ from his comeback album ‘Whispering Jack’, following this with our seventies songstress Helen Reddy, with one of her big hits ‘Ain’t No Way To treat A Lady’.

The program aims to celebrate some female singers such as Linda George (Neither One Of Us), Renee Geyer (Heading In The Right Direction) and the wonderful rendition of ‘Love Don’t Live Here Any More’ from the brilliant, Kate Ceberano. Axiom sings one of their big songs, ‘My Baby’s Gone’ while Sports perform their cover of the Easybeat’s ‘Wedding Ring’.

The program also highlights forgotten and less heralded Aussie singers such as Christie Allen (Goosebumps) whose career briefly flourished in the early seventies and little known bands such as Stylus (World Of Make Believe) and Melbourne band, The Throb (Fortune Teller). Good looking Melbourne singer, Merv Benton, is featured with his rocking cover of Johnny Burnette’s ‘Cincinnati Fireball’. Finally, the program closes with one of Australia’s premier instrumental rock band, The Thunderbirds, with their hit ‘Wild Weekend”
