We all live in neighbourhoods and we all have stories about our neighbours. Some songwriters have turned these into songs. Perhaps the most definitive song about neighbours is The Small Faces amusing ‘Lazy Sunday Afternoon’. Smokie’s ‘Living next Door To Alice’ is a universal favourite while different neighbourhoods are outlined in Elvis’s ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and Toni Fisher’s ‘West Of The Wall’. Aussie highlight of the week is Peter Allen singing ‘Not The Boy Next Door’.
