Several songs this week have ‘together’ in the title while others embrace the idea of togetherness through the lyrics. LGBTI listeners should not feel alienated by the fact that these songs are about heterosexual ‘couplings’. We have the same emotions and we have our imaginations to apply the songs to our own partnerships and loved ones. There are some world class tracks this week – The Platters sublime recording of ‘My Prayer’, Johnny Mathis‘s beautiful ballad ‘The Twelfth Of Never’ and Roy Orbison‘s operatic ‘In Dreams’. The Aussie highlight is Melbourne husband and wife team, Anne & Johnny Hawker (Cinderella Rockefella).
