Landscape

As humans we are blessed living on a world of countless beautiful landscapes. They have always been an inspiration for artists, poets, singers and song writers. This program features a variety of landscapes: rivers, mountains, islands, valleys and hills are all represented. Legends featured are Joni Mitchell (River), Jo Stafford (Suddenly There’s A Valley) and Dionne Warwick (Theme From ‘Valley of The Dolls’). Of particular interest is the song voted the best Aussie song about our landscape (Great Southern Land by Icehouse). Another interesting song is the Aussie highlight (Cattle And Cane by The Go Betweens).
