About Movies

There are many songs written about movies, movie stars, movie characters or the movie experience. ‘Sad Movies’ by Sue Thompson, ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’ by The Drifters and ‘Western Movies’ by doo-wop group The Olympics capture the movie experience. The incredibly popular ‘Bette Davis Eyes’ (Kim Carnes) and Bertie Higgins tribute to great stars Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall are highlights of the program. The Aussie highlight of the week is Brisbane’s The Go-Betweens and their tribute to Irish film star ‘Lee Remick’.
