Dreaming

DREAMS, we all have them; the difference is we can’t always recall them. Freud spent a lifetime trying to interpret them. Songwriters have also been somewhat obsessed with dreams. This week’s program features three songs by Roy Orbison about dreams. Leah is a song about his lost love; in fact it’s almost a nightmare. In Dreams showcases Orbison’s powerful voice while Dream Baby shows how he can sing up a storm. ABBA‘s soaring I Have A Dream and Blondie‘s Dreaming add to the quality. Bobby Darin sings his monumental hit Dream Lover. We play a tribute to Christine McVie with You Make Loving Fun and Stevie Nicks’ great vocal on Dreams both from the wonderful Rumours album. There are Aussie contributions from Colleen Hewett Dreaming My Dreams With You and The Seekers (Chase The Rainbow) Follow Your Dream.
